A Bagenalstown family presented a cheque worth over €7,000 to the Carlow/Kilkenny Home care team last night.
The Doyle family from Seskin Ryan raised €7,940 from their Christmas lights display at their home.

Crowds of people visited the house each evening to see all the homemade decorations lit up for the festive period – donation boxes were filled at the gate, and the family also won a competition on RTE television.
The cheque was presented to the home care team at a function in the Railway House in Bagenalstown last night.
