A man in his 40s has died following a road traffic incident in Co. Kilkenny

A male in his forties has died following a road traffic collision in Kilkenny this morning.

The single vehicle crash involving a motorcycle happened at around 9:30am, the man pronounced dead at the scene.

The stretch of road from Ballymack to Burnchurch in Cuffesgrange will remain closed while a forensic examination is carried out.

Speaking to KCLR news, Kilkenny Garda Andy Neill issued a request for witnesses with any information come forward.
