“Life in St Joseph’s industrial school was particularly brutal”
The words of Rosemary Adaser – an abuse survivor – who attended St Joseph’s School in Kilkenny when she was a child.

Rosemary appeared on RTEs ‘The Late Late Show’ on Friday night, and described the conditions she lived in, and the abuse she was subjected to.
There’s been an overwhelming amount of support for Rosemary since her interview aired, with hundreds of people taking to social media to react to her story.
She told host Ryan Tubridy about one particular memory she has from the school, when she was on the floor in a foetal position having “seven bells kicked out of her” at the age of 7.
