Motorists are being urged to be extra cautious on the roads this St Patrick’s Weekend.
Drivers are being advised to plan their journey well in advance and use public transport where possible.
It’s going to be a particularly busy few days on the roads.
Conor Faughnan from the AA says everyone needs to be vigilant this weekend, he says traffic will be noticeably heavier across the country, and extra care will be needed.
