Gardaí in Carlow appeal for witnesses after a handbag was snatched last night

Gardaí in Carlow are appealing for witnesses to a handbag snatch that occurred yesterday evening.

A woman was walking on Kennedy Avenue with her husband, when her bag was grabbed by a male at around 8:35pm.

A couple in a black car waved down Gardai who immediately went in search of the offender who is described as being young and skinny with a moustache.

Gardaí would like to talk to anyone who may have witnessed the incident and are especially anxious to talk to the couple in the black car who brought their attention to the crime.
