The month of March accounts for 11% of alcohol related road collisions in Ireland.
That’s according to Anthony Farrell, who is the Carlow/Kilkenny Traffic Inspector with the Gardaí.
He’s urging motorists to take extra care on the roads, particularly this weekend when traffic volumes will be noticeably higher nationwide.
March is the second-highest month of the year for alcohol related roads accidents.
And speaking to KCLR news, Anthony says motorists need to be extremely vigilant.
