A Kilkenny-based charity could be about to head State-side!
TaxiWatch was founded in the City by local taxi driver Derek Devoy and it sees drivers trained to help people who may have suicidal thoughts or depression.
Founded less than three years ago, the initiative has already had a huge impact locally and has also spread to other areas like Clonmel and Waterford.
Multi-millionaire Kilkenny-native Walter O’Brien was pivotal to it being set up.
And speaking to KCLR News, Derek Devoy says with his help they’re now hoping to bring TaxiWatch to the US.
