Deering says GAA deal with Sky was ‘big mistake’

Carlow  TD Pat Deering has added his voice to criticism of the GAA for selling match rights to Sky Sports.

The Dail Deputy who is a former Carlow county board chairman has labelled the decision  as a “big mistake”.

There’s been widespread criticism this week sparked by comments from Michael Duignan on The Sunday Game on RTE.

All of Kilkennys championship matches this season were aired on Sky Sports while Carlow footballers clash with Monaghan this coming weekend is also only available to Sky subscribers

Pat Deering told KCLR that it’s out of reach for many.
