Councillor John Pender has concerns about illegal dumping in Carlow

The issue of illegal dumping in Carlow has raised its head once again.

Councillor John Pender says something needs to be done about the problem, particularly at the local recycling facility in Tullow.

He says it’s more of a problem because of how often the bins are being emptied.

However, Councillor John Pender told KCLR News that it’s not just a problem at recycling centres – some people think they can throw their rubbish wherever they want.

Speaking to KCLR he says just because it mightn’t be visible immediately on the roadsides, it is still there.
