Kilkenny County Council has been given the go ahead to build 7 new houses in the city.
The project which will cost €1.3 million will see the homes to be built on the Old Golf Links road in Kilkenny.

Local TD John Paul Phelan says its been in the pipeline for a while but he’s glad its going to start soon.
He says its one small step towards addressing the houses issues in the city.
