Woman seriously ill in hospital after fall down stairs in Kilkenny home

Gardai preserved a scene in Kilkenny at the weekend after a woman was found at the bottom of a stairs in a house.

She is being treated for her injuries at Beaumont hospital in Dublin where her condition is described as serious.

It happened at a home in the Loughboy area of the city over the weekend.

Gardai say that the incident is being treated as a fall for now.
