Kilkenny Councillor starts petition for new law to ban sulky racing

An online petition has been started by a Kilkenny councillor calling for an outright ban on sulky racing.

Andrew McGuinness is petitioning the Agriculture and Transport Ministers and he is also seeking regulations for horse drawn vehicles in Ireland for both animal and road safety.

It’s a matter he has already brought before the local council but now he has taken to change.org to highlight it further.

Hundreds have already signed and he wants as many as possible to get behind his call for new laws.
