Mother of Castlecomer stabbing victim appeals for prayers for her son

A young man is still fighting for his life in hospital after being stabbed in Castlecomer at the weekend.

Jamie Hennessy is critically ill after the incident which happened on Saturday evening.

The 22 year old from Doonane in Crettyard sustained the injuries in Love Lane around 7 o clock that evening.

His mother, Sandra, has appealed through social media for prayers for her son.

Gardaí, meanwhile, are still appealing for anyone who was in the area on Saturday evening between 5pm and 7pm to come forward.
