Two men arrested after thousands of euro worth of drugs found in Kilkenny

Two men were arrested this week after thousands of euros worth of drugs were found during a search in Kilkenny City.

A house at Ashgrove, Páirc na Gowan was searched as part of an ongoing operation into the sale and supply of controlled substances on Tuesday.

Cannabis herb with an estimated street value of €9,000 and cocaine worth about €1,300 was found.

Two men – both in their 20’s – were arrested, charged and held in Kilkenny Garda Station under the Drug Trafficking Act.

They’ve now been released on bail to appear before Kilkenny District Court on the 26th of September.
