Another six month wait expected before decision on the future of Kilkenny’s Vet Lab to be made

Spring of next year is when a decision on the future of the Regional Vet Lab in Kilkenny is now likely to be made.

That’s according to Minister for Agriculture, Michael Creed who was responding to a parliamentary question put to him by local TD Bobby Aylward.

A working group set up to review labs all around the country recently recommended closing the one the Kilkenny.

However, a final decision has yet to be made and Deputy Aylward says this needs to be sorted soon.
