Scam email targeting Irish Water customers

Local customers of Irish Water are being warned about an email scam doing the rounds at the moment.

It comes ahead of the refunds being issued to households around the country.

The subject line reads, “Irish Water Account, Action required”.

Irish Water says it will never ask customers to update personal banking information in this way and is advising people to delete the e-mails.
