Fears over water in Carlow allayed somewhat as treatment plant back in operation

Fears over water in Carlow have been allayed somewhat but you’re still being urged to conserve supplies.

The Sion Cross Water Treatment Plant is back in operation now and water quality will be closely monitored.

Reservoir levels around the County were maintained overnight but the demand on all supply areas in the County has increased.

There may be some reduction in pressure, especially at peak demand times.
