Carlow town targeted by pickpockets

Carlow was targeted by pickpockets over the weekend.

There were at least four incidents where purses were lifted from handbags around the town on Saturday.

Most of the contents, including credit cards, were recovered later after being discarded by the thieves when they’d removed the cash.

Local Gardai are warning you to be aware of your belongings, specially when in busy public places, and not to carry large amounts of cash if you don’t need to.
