More than 60% of adults now fully vaccinated against Covid-19

More than 5 million doses of a Covid-19 vaccine have now been administered in the Republic.

Over 60 percent of adults are now fully vaccinated.

While 75 percent of adults have had at least one vaccine dose.

Locally the vaccine rollout continues at Cillín Hill in Kilkenny, at IT Carlow and at GP clinics and 30 pharmacies.

Today the HSE portal opens for 25-29 year olds to register for an mRNA vaccine.

Appointments are expected to be arranged in the coming weeks.

Meanwhile 18 to 34-year-olds will be able to opt-in for the AstraZeneca vaccine from Monday.
