Kilkenny hosts Blue Light Parade and Static Display in the city

Kilkenny’s emergency services will be out in force today.

They’re participating in a Blue Light Parade and Static Display in the city.

It arrives via the Castlecomer Road around 1 o’clock and will be travelling through John Street, Rose Inn Street and into the grounds of Kilkenny Castle.

Mayor Joe Malone says ”not only are emergency service personnel on hand every day, they especially have a presence during times of need.  He also adds ”today’s event can be used not just to thank emergency services personnel, but to cheer on soldiers who are due to depart for Lebannon later this year.
