Gardaí appealing for witnesses following claims of a young teenager being struck by a car in Carlow town last night

Gardaí are appealing for information following an incident in Carlow town last night where it’s claimed a 13-year-old was struck by a car at 8.30pm.

It’s understood to have happened near the roundabout next to SuperValu in the town.

Carlow Gardai are appealing to anyone who may have dash cam footage or who may have witnessed the incident to contact them.

In particular they’d like to speak with the driver of a silver or grey Mercedes seen in the area at the time.
