Community group is urging people in Carlow and Kilkenny to prevent thefts of e-vehicles

A local community worker has called on the public to take greater precautions to prevent the theft of their electric scooters and e-vehicles.

Speaking to KCLR News, Ned Kearney, who is the South Eastern Community Alert Development officer with Muintir na Tire, made the call, noting that increased use of e-vehicles in urban areas, will lead to increased theft of such vehicles.

Muintir na tire will be hosting an information event on the topic, in conjunction with an Garda Siochana, in St Lawrence’s hall in Dungarvan, from 11am to 1.30pm on the 31st of August.
