No injuries reported in Kilkenny city vehicle fire

Dramatic scenes in Kilkenny city last evening after a tractor and slurry tank went on fire.

It happened on the Freshford Road shortly before 6pm with gardai and units of the fire brigade attending.

The blaze was brought under control by fire personnel by about 7pm but the road remained closed until about 9:30pm to allow for the clearing of the scene.

KCLR News understands some people were evacuated from nearby buildings however no injuries were reported.
