Total gridlock: traffic at standstill on busy county Carlow road

UPDATE (9:10am, Thursday, 16th Oct): the obstruction’s cleared and traffic’s back flowing as usual.

Traffic’s at a standstill this morning on one of county Carlow’s most used routes.

The N80 is always a busy stretch but an obstruction has added to things today.

Eye witnesses have told KCLR they’ve been caught in a jam at the Fighting Cocks for up to half an hour.

Advice is to avoid for the foreseeable or add extra travel time to your journey.
