Two more interviews tonight, with Belfast based group Huartan, and David Geraghty, and it was great to catch up with them.
Huartan are a group of musicians, based in Belfast who have blended traditional music and electonic instruments to great effect. Their debut album has just been released and it’s a rare mix of musical styles and work so well, keeping the tradition alive, while dressing it in new clothes. Check the album out, it’s well worth you time.

David Geraghty first became known with BellX1. Over the years, they proved hugely popular, and had many fine singles and albums, but have concentrated on solo projects, with equal success across a number of fronts.
In David’s case, he has composed a number of soundtracks for film and television and he has also returned to full time education. He was in Kilkenny for a BellX1 gig recently and we took the opportunity to catch up. He has a new collection of music due and will be back to play himself in January 2026.
