Man due before courts following alleged Kilkenny city public order incident

A man was arrested following an alleged public order incident in Kilkenny city. 

A number of people contacted KCLR News to outline their concerns for what they witnessed at about 4:30pm.

Gardaí have confirmed that they were called to High Street yesterday afternoon (Friday, 5th December) where a man aged in his forties was arrested and charged – he’s due to appear before Kilkenny District Court. 

A spokesperson says “As this matter is now before the courts An Garda Síochána cannot comment further”.
