Major environmental upgrade planned for Graiguenamanagh to combat flooding and protect water quality

Uisce Éireann has secured planning permission for a major environmental upgrade in Graiguenamanagh.

The company will build a massive, underground 599 cubic metre storm tank at the wastewater pumping station on the Old Dock Road.

The project aims to protect the local environment from flash flooding and secure regional water quality.

They will also install a heavy-duty flood gate at the main control building, a new drinking water storage unit and security fencing.
