Emergency services are understood to be responding to a crash on the R418 in County Carlow.
The incident involving a car and lorry happened in the last hour between Killerig and Tullow.
It’s not yet known if anybody’s been injured but the route is blocked so motorists are advised to seek another route.
Separately, a car’s broken down northbound on the M9 between Junction 2 Kilcullen and Junction 1 M7/M9, near Kilcullen, with one lane affected.
