Danesfort GAA are settling into their new state of the art clubhouse following its official opening.
The organisation’s national President Jarlath Burns was on hand to officiate at the event which saw players, families and supporters turn out.
The project was delivered through a long-standing partnership between the club and CluneTech and includes a modern base with two changing rooms, gym, toilets, baby changing facilities as well as rooms for activities, meetings, referees and an office.
Added to that there’s a newly resurfaced ball wall with a floodlit astroturf pitch, a floodlit 1.1km tarmacadamed surface walking track, refurbished dressing rooms, updated kitchen area and accessible toilets.

Uachtarán CLG Jarlath Burns said: “Today represents an important moment for Danesfort GAA and for the community it serves. The facilities unveiled here are testament to the ambition, commitment and collaboration that define our Association at its best. It is clear that this development will support participation and enjoyment for players of all ages well into the future. I pay tribute to everyone involved in bringing this project to fruition and congratulate the club on the significant progress it continues to make on and off the field.”
Catherine Cunniffe, Chairperson of Danesfort GAA commented; “This development marks a major step forward for our club and our parish. The success of our teams, including the Leinster Intermediate Hurling Final win, shows the strength of the structures we are building together.”
Former Kilkenny hurler and development committee member Paul Murphy noted: “These facilities provide a foundation that will benefit players at every level, from our youngest members to our senior teams. The standard of what has been achieved here is something everyone involved can be very proud of”
And Terry Clune, CluneTech Founder and CEO, summed up by saying; “This is a proud day for Danesfort GAA and for our whole community. CluneTech is delighted to support the creation of these world class facilities and to see the hard work and ambition behind this project come to life for the benefit of the generations to come.”
