Over 200 local premises are waking up without power this morning.
They’re among 8,000 homes, farms and businesses across the country still in the dark as ESB crews are out working to reconnect them.
Tullow appears to be the hardest hit with 112 in three separate outages there, while also impacted are 47 in Ballyhale, 13 at Mount Misery on the Kilkenny/Waterford border, 23 in Graignamanagh and 20 in Castlecomer.
Power’s due back to all between 4 and 5 o’clock this evening.
It’s as cleanup operations are also underway after the country was battered by violent winds – care is still being urged today with the possibilities of fallen trees, power lines, other debris and flooding.
