The former Kilkenny city library will throw open its doors this evening to showcase proposals for its future.
The Carnegie building on the quays is a much-loved structure and many have wondered what’s to become of it since the purpose-built Mayfair Library opened in 2024.
Now, the plans for it and the surrounding public realm can be viewed at a drop-in event this evening from 5:30pm to 8pm.
The refurbishment project is co-funded by the Government and the European Union through the ERDF Southern, Eastern and Midland Regional Programme (2021-2027)
