The funeral will take place this morning of the second Carlow teenager who died in last Sunday’s M9 crash.
He with four others were travelling the wrong way on the motorway in the early hours of the morning when they struck another vehicle which was carrying four members of a Carlow family to Dublin Airport.
A Vigil took place at St Clare’s Church in Graiguecullen on Friday night with thoughts and prayers sought for all impacted by the incident, while earlier that day 16-year-old Alex McCarthy from Carlow town was laid to rest in St Mary’s Cemetery following his funeral Mass at the Holy Family Church in Askea.
This morning, the bereaved will return to those premises for the late 18-year-old Jeremy “Bobbles” O’Brien from Burrin Manor, Tullow Road, Carlow.
The funeral of the fifth teenager who died, Jack Kennedy, will take place tomorrow (Tuesday) in Athy.
