Over €40,000 in damage to Irish Rail carriages at Waterford train station effects services

Gardaí in Waterford are appealing for information after three Irish Rail train carriages were damaged over the weekend.

They were sprayed with graffiti between 11pm on Saturday and 4am Sunday morning at Plunkett Station in the city.

Gardaí say the damage, estimated at around €45,000, means the carriages are out of service, causing disruption to services from the station.
