No major issues have been reported as of yet this morning for Carlow and Kilkenny following yesterday’s downpour.
A status yellow rain alert which kicked off at midday yesterday and was extended overnight to 6am, has now ended.
Local river levels don’t appear to have been impacted.
There were issues yesterday in Thomastown where Maudlin Street, Logan Street and Pipe Street were closed at times due to a blocked shore.
But Gardaí in the town there say the routes are reopen today.
And while there’s some rain in parts of our locality this morning sunny spells are due this afternoon for a time before scattered showers develop, some of which are expected to be heavy.
