Workers in our towns and villages need to leave central parking spaces free for shoppers, clients and visitors. 

That’s the plea from the Callan Thomastown Municipal District meeting after concerns were raised at the lack of spots for those trying to do business or visiting various areas.

It was suggested many of the spaces along Market Street in Thomastown are taken up across the day by those working along the stretch and Cllr Joe Sheridan has been telling KCLR News’ Edwina Grace says this can’t continue;

Cllr Deirdre Cullen agrees and believes traffic wardens should come out from their Kilkenny city base at least once a month;
