Carlow ploughman Eamonn Tracey secured a sixth-place finish overall in the Conventional Class at the 71st World Ploughing Championships in Croatia.
The two-day international event concluded last night with a silver medal victory for his Team Ireland counterpart, John Whelan of Wexford, in the Reversible Class.
Both local masters will now return home to defend their respective Irish titles at the upcoming National Ploughing Championships in Offaly later this month.”
