“Please slow down” pleads Kilkenny Councillor Mary Hilda Cavanagh as road safety measures confirmed for Johnstown

Speed ramps and a new pedestrian crossing are to be installed in Johnstown before the end of the year.

Councillor Mary Hilda Cavanagh says the measures follow years of complaints about speeding, particularly heavy goods vehicles travelling through the village at night.

She was speaking at yesterday’s Castlecomer Municipal District where she made this plea and outlined more for KCLR News’ Owain Comerford;
