Burren Rangers are preparing for the biggest game in their history this Sunday, when they take on Carlow Town in the Intermediate Hurling Final.
Throw-in is at 4 o’clock in Netwatch Cullen Park, and we’ll have the game live on KCLR’s Carlow frequency, thanks to Dan Morrissey & Co.
Burren Rangers have been an adult club since 2015, drawing players from St Pat’s Tullow, Ballon, Kilbride and Fighting Cocks.
Ciarán Bolger has been involved with the club from the very beginning, and he spoke to us about the identity the club has built and the pride their players have in representing Burren Rangers.
“The great thing about Burren Rangers is that we have them from six years of age. So, if you want to play hurling in the area, you identify as a Burren Rangers player, and there’s no issue. They’ll go out and play football against each other, they’re good friends, and they have the banter. That is the beauty of the GAA, and I know they’re very proud to be Burren Rangers players.”
We’ll have all three Carlow county finals live on KCLR this weekend, along with all four Kilkenny Senior Hurling Championship quarter-finals.
