The controversy surrounding Kilkenny’s new pedestrian bridge rolls on.
Locals who had placed love-locks on the Lady Desart bridge told Sue Nunn this morning how they’d been removed.

The Borough Council confirmed that they had in fact removed them.
But Councillors confirmed this morning that they weren’t consulted on it.
Councillor Andrew McGuinness says he for one has no problem with it while the Mayor Martin Brett promised to see what he could do.
