Local Gardai warn of phone scam doing the rounds

Gardai are warning about a phone scam doing the rounds again locally.

Castlecomer Gardai say they have been alerted to it following a number of calls in North Kilkenny in recent days.

It seems the Urlingford area in particular is being hit today.

The call in question is coming from an overseas number with the caller claiming to be from Microsoft and requesting personal details.

Gardai are warning you under no circumstances to give your personal or banking details over the phone.
