Westmeath will play in the Leinster Senior Hurling Championship next year.
They retained their Championship status after a 2-22 to 2-13 win over Kildare this afternoon in their All-Ireland promotion play-off at Cusack Park in Mullingar.
Kildare will remain in the Christy Ring Cup next season.
Meanwhile, Longford will play in the Nicky Rackard Cup next year.
They defeated Sligo by 3-17 to 3-13 in the Nicky Rackard Cup promotion play-off in Ballinamore this afternoon.
It means that they will move up from the Lory Meagher Cup for next season.
