Clinical Director at Department of Psychiatry in St Lukes tells KCLR he has not left his job

The Clinical Director at the Department of Psychiatry at St Lukes Hospital has told KCLR that he’s on leave and hasn’t left his job.

Dr Frank Kelly says that he’ll be addressing all the recent issues over mental health services in Carlow Kilkenny and South Tipperary when he gets back to work.

In a recent RTE interview Minister of State Kathleen Lynch said he’d had been replaced by a new clinical director Noel Shepard in a complete overhaul of the system.

But Dr Kelly’s told KCLR that is simply not the case.
