Owner of Kilkenny Clinic says sorry to patients left out of pocket

The owner and medical director of a fertility clinic that closed suddenly has apologised to patients who have been left out of pocket.

Dr Martine Millet-Johnston, who ran the Kilkenny Clinic, claims she needs life-saving surgery due to her health problems.

The clinic has recently gone into liquidation leaving behind almost half a million euro in debts. One couple lost €4,000 and others lost between €1,000 and €2,000.

Dr Millet-Johnston says she went into multiple organ failure in January and was unable to return to work.
