Soldiers from Stephens Barracks will be taking part in a ceremony at Kilkenny Castle on Sunday to mark the National Day of Commemoration.
Troops from the third infantry battalion will also be at an event in Waterford at the Bishops Palace.
The ceremonies are being carried out all over the country to honour all the Irishmen and women who died on duty with the defence forces, or in any war.
Commander of the 3rd Battalion Lieutenant Colonel Stephen Ryan says they would love any interested members of the public to come along.
