Northern extension of Kilkenny ring road gets the green light

Plans to extend the northern section of the Ring Road in Kilkenny have been given the go-ahead today.

Its emergedthat an Bord Pleanála has granted approval for the project.

But money to pay for it is still an issue – it’ll cost in the region of 16 million euro.

Kilkenny Mayor Andrew McGuinness says maybe it will be the first task for our new Junior Minister Ann Phelan.
