A local Green councillor has said that it would have been better to have constructive and collaborative dialogue instead of posting a notice of legal action at the construction site of the Central Access Scheme.
Malcolm Noonan says that all other opportunities should have been exhausted first.
The Council gave them notice on Friday asking them to cease and desist from blocking access to the construction site or face the court order.
Demonstrators have been camping out there day and night where a new bridge is to be built over the River Nore.
