Dan Morrissey to recommence some contracted work

Some work has recommenced at Dan Morrissey following negotiations between the receiver, an investor and the company’s management.

According to a Carlow Kilkenny TD,  the Benekerry business is completing county council projects and some employees will be rehired.

The staff were handed their P45s by the receivers last week after plans to save the business were rejected.

Grant Thortnorn are now in talks about transferring the firms contracts to a new company, that’s being backed by a new investor.

Deputy Pat Deering says these steps may lead on to bigger and better things for the company.
