Lisa Marie Presley invited to visit Hacketstown as they celebrate Elvis this October

Elvis Presley’s daughter has been invited to Carlow this October.

Organisers of a special weekend festival to celebrate the Kings links to Hacketstown have sent a letter to Lisa Marie Presley to tell her all about it.

After years of research it emerged that Elvis’s great great grandfather was born in Hacketstown and locals are keen to celebrate their famous son.

Mary Doyle is one of the organisers of the Elvis Weekend – she told KCLR news they’re thrilled with how its all coming together.
