Health Minister ‘coming out’ is no big deal says local Fine Gael TD

A local TD for Carlow and Kilkenny says Leo Varadkar’s ‘coming out’ is no big deal.

The Minister for Health announced publicly on radio at the weekend that he is an openly gay man.

Speaking on the Sue Nunn Show this morning his party colleague and friend John Paul Phelan, says that while it isn’t an issue, Varadkar’s public admission may help others to come out.
