Residents of Co Kilkenny housing estate set up security ‘hut’

The residents of a Freshford housing estate have decided to take security matters into their own hands.

Members of the Woodview Residents Association have set up a hut across the road from their estate in the Kilkenny town, to keep a watchful eye on comings and goings.

Those involved say they have familiarised themselves with all the cars belonging to people in the estate and will be recording any unfamiliar cars entering it.

Chairman of the Residents Association, Mick Burke, told KCLR Live that they felt it was necessary.
